Engaging the Board in Meaningful Fundraising
This workshop is part of NYCON/GM’s monthly series of trainings for nonprofits and their boards: “Practical Solutions for Today’s Nonprofit Governance Challenges.” The trainings address a wide range of topics such as defining the expectations of board service, building leadership, improving fundraising skills and strategies and the board’s working relationship with staff leadership. They are presented by NYCON’s team of professional staff. Space is limited to provide a customized experience and meaningful interactions between participants.
You want to assure that your organization has the resources necessary to carry out its mission. This includes preparing a fund development plan, motivating board members to be active in fund development, clarifying board and staff roles, and understanding fund raising rules and regulations. In this workshop Kate Cox, Capacity Building Associate with NYCON, will teach you how to use the personal, professional and resource network of your board to build a culture of philanthropy across your organization and have fun while doing it.
